Salt Water Cures

Cast of Characters

I've asked most of the characters in my life to introduce themselves, and I'm sure they will, in due time.  Until then, I hope you'll have more patience than I, as we all await their take on who they are, and that you'll enjoy the limited listing I provide.

The Gashi's: A family of Kosovar refugees who I've had the priviledge to meet as my life partner and I are part of a group of people who are their sponsors -- the Canadians who have taken responsibility for helping them to settle well into  Canada.  So far, they are Hanushe, the 43-year-old Mom, Arsim, the 22-year-old son, Lendita, the 19-year-old daughter, Bashkim, the 17-year-old son who is the main translator, Valbona, recently turned 15, and Mentor, who turned 9 in early September.  Dad, Fehmi, had not yet arrived from a separate refugee camp in Turkey as of early September.  (I hope as the family's English improves, and the children in particular become computer-literate, that they too might introduce themselves to you.)
